Supermarkets and food specialty stores are no longer the after-thought of the retail world. They're often huge, complicated projects requiring careful consideration of not only the visual elements, but also fragrance, taste and even sound. Food retailers are spending vast resources to tempt shoppers into their stores week after week.
If you design food stores, large or small, this edition of Retail Spaces is the perfect opportunity to have your projects showcased to their best advantage. Potential clients will see all the elements that go into a successful food store: the overall traffic flow, the individual departments, the fixtures, the signage and the checkout area.
To get started simply submit your food stores for possible inclusion in Retail Spaces: Food, Markets, Supermarkets and Specialty Shops. There is no fee to submit your work.
This is not a contest, but work must meet our standards for quality and creativity. We will only publish work that exemplifies excellence in architecture, store design and visual presentation, meaning every project will be of the highest caliber and your firm will be positioned as a leader in the field.
If accepted you will receive:
- Your project featured in a 2- 4- or 6-page store review. We will write the copy and design the page.
- A given number of the printed book (shipped at our expense).
- A hi-resolution PDF file of your project, along with complete rights to its use.
- Listing on our Partners Page of this website.
There is no charge for submitting work; however, if your work is selected for

$500 for each 2-page review, you receive 10 books, a $500 value.
$750 for each 4-page review, you receive 15 books, a $750 value.
